| As you get ready to start implementing one or more of the various methods for generating greens, the first thing you need to do is get your referral link from the IFW.
This is a unique link that they will assign to you, that your referrals can click on to visit the IFW and signup. All of the IFWs have special tracking systems in place so that when people follow your referral link(s) you get credit when they signup. When you’re first getting started it’s pretty straightforward because you’ll probably be working on a single offer, and you’ll have just one referral link. Simple. Once you get the “greens” you need however, and get your cash or free gift, you don’t want to continue promoting that particular referral link anymore because there’s no added benefit to referring people to that link once you’ve received your gift. This creates a problem if you don’t plan ahead, because many of the strategies you’ll use to generate greens are “permanent” - meaning that once you’ve promoted a specific referral link in certain ways, you can’t go back and change it later. For example, say you posted to a bunch of forums with a particular referral link in your “signature”. If someone reads your posts 6 months from now (which they will) and clicks on that old, outdated referral link, you get no benefit even when they signup. This leads to “wasted” greens - which is about the worst thing in the world! Using “Rotator” Links to Prevent Wasted Greens The solution to this problem is to use what is called a “link rotator” system. There are many available, both free and paid, but the one we recommend is called PageSwirl (which is free). When you’re ready, you can click the link above and create a free account at PageSwirl. They do have an upgraded version that costs about $10 per month, but that is not necessary at all because you won’t need any of the extra features it offers. The way PageSwirl works is very simple, but it’s also very powerful because it prevents “wasted greens”. Once you signup you’ll be assigned a unique PageSwirl link such as: http://pageswirl.com/rotate.php?user=yourname Then all you need to do is tell the PageSwirl system which link or link(s) you currently want to promote, and that’s it. Their system will let you promote up to 5 links at a time. From that point on you will simply use your PageSwirl link in ALL of your promotions, and it will automatically redirect people who click on it to the IFW referral link that you are currently promoting. If you give PageSwirl more than 1 link, it simply rotates them all. The beauty of this is that once you’re done working on a particular IFW promotion, you can login to PageSwirl and remove that referral link and stop sending people there. You can login to PageSwirl and add, delete or modify your links at any time! What this means to you is simply that you now have just one link to use in all of your promotions - your PageSwirl URL - and it will always point where you want it to go. You never have to worry about “wasted greens” because once you finish a promotion you simply change or remove that link and it’s gone forever! |
