APPENDIX D: Glossary of Common Terms and Phrases
On this page you’ll find definitions of some popular terms and acronyms that you might run across while working with freebie sites and the EasyFreeZone system. They are all discussed throughout the guide, but they are also listed here for easy reference.

Bump   To bump a forum post, or thread, simply means to make a reply to your own post so that it gets moved up or “bumped” to the top of the list where it will generally be seen by more people.

CC   Credit card. A “non-CC site” refers to an incentivized freebie website whose offers are 100% free and do not require a credit card to complete.

Conga Line   A Conga Line is an organized system of people trying to each get referrals, or “greens”. Generally when people join a Conga they must do an offer which is credited to the person at the top of the list. When the top person gets the specified number of referrals they’re done and everyone else moves up one spot. They used to be very popular but don’t work nearly as well anymore. Congas are not recommended - our methods are much more efficient.

DIY   A DIY site is a “do it yourself” site. Generally the way it works is that you have to personally complete a specified number of offers, and then you receive cash or a free gift. If your goal is to make hundreds a month in your spare time, these can be helpful too. If you’re more serious and trying to make as much money as possible, the other types of sites are generally going to be more efficient and profitable for you.

Green   In the freebie site world, “green” generally refers to a user who has signed up at a freebie site and completed all of the requirements. The word green can be used in various ways including phrases such as “he went green”, “getting greens”, “paying for greens”, etc.

IFW   Short for Incentivized Freebie Site. A catch-all name for the various types of websites that offer incentives (usually cash or free products) to users in return for participating in their advertisers’ offers.

OOD   Short for Offer Of Doom. Generally refers to an advertiser offer that requires the user to spend a bunch of money in order to complete the offer i.e. making a large purchase, etc. Many “shady” IFWs implement Offers Of Doom to make it harder for users to qualify for their desired incentive.

PM   Short for Private Message. When communicating with other users privately via a message board or forum you’ll generally use the forum’s built-in private message feature. If someone says “I sent you a PM” that means that they sent you a private message via the forum system.

Ref   Short for Referral. Different from a Green in that a ref is simply someone that has been referred and signed up at a freebie site, whereas a Green is a referral that has also fulfilled all of the requirements of the IFW.

TR   Short for Trader Rating. Before doing any type of a trade - such as trading referrals or trading greens for cash - always check a person’s Trading Rating. If a user has a positive trader rating, that means others have had a good experience trading with them. On the other hand, if a person has a negative or low trader rating you might want to reconsider dealing with them.
